Eiger-Trail
The Hiking Trail along the famous Northface of the Eiger
The Eiger - Trail winds from Eigergletscher station (Jungfau Railway), 7616 ft. above sea level, along the Eiger mountain over steep scree slopes and alpine pastures down to Alpiglen, 5302 ft. above sea level. The trail is very well marked and can be done, of course, the other way round as well.

On your hike you will be fascinated by unforgettable views of the notorious Eiger Northface and with binoculars, you might even spot some climbers ascending.
Because of the rugged alpine character of the trail, good hiking boots are required.
From Eigergletscher down to Alpiglen the hike takes about 2 - 2.5 hours.
